Sri Lanka has 2 International Airports which are located in two sides of the country. Main International Airport is "Bandaranayeke International Airport" (BIA). And the secondary International Airport is "Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport" (HRI).

BIA - Bandaranayeke International Airport


 

This is the main Air port of the Sri Lanka. Which is located in Colombo. Most of the passengers are using this airport. Most of the international flights are servicing this airport daily. And from the airport you can reach to the Colombo city within 20 minutes by using Katunayake Expressway. 





HRI - Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport


This is the newly built secondary Airport in Sri Lanka. Which is located in the southern province of Sri Lanka. And it is with all the new facilities to service any kind of big air craft even for Airbus A380 also. And this is surrounded with a jungle and very close to the Safari parks (yala, kumana) , botanical gardens , golden beaches, religious and historical places.
